Product Description

Nitrite based corrosion inhibitor for excellent protection for chilled water, LTHW systems. CorroSOL 40 Nitrite Corrosion Inhibitor is a nitrite-borate based corrosion inhibitor containing an additional organic inhibitor to protect steel, copper and other non-ferrous metals. As such CorroSOL 40 Nitrite Corrosion Inhibitor is an ideal treatment for closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems.

Application
CorroSOL 40 Nitrite Corrosion Inhibitor is an extremely strong passivator of exposed or corroded metal surfaces.
CorroSOL 40 Nitrite Corrosion Inhibitor is NOT intended for use in systems containing Aluminium or galvanised pipework.
Engine Jacket Cooling or heating system, Chiller Water Circuit, Glycol Brine System, Hot Water or steam Circuit, Engine Coolant,Process chilling and heating system etc.

TYPICAL DOSE : 5 – 7 litres / 1000 litres of system water and make-up

Nitrite base Corrosion Inhibitor for Water and Glycol Brine is normally fed continuously to the re-circulating closed system by injection dosing pump of dosed to the expansion tank. The amount of Nitrite base Corrosion Inhibitor for Water and Glycol Brine required to inhibit corrosion depends on the type of system and plant operating conditions. The specific dosage rates can be specified by the testing and given parameter.

Nitrite based Corrosion Inhibitor for Water and Glycol Brine system is a multimetal corrosion inhibitor based on nitrate and othe organic compounds with special yellow metal corrosion inhibitor and antiscaling chemical that helps to prevent scale deposition or also removes adhering loose scale deposits from the heat transfer fluid system.

The disadvantages of not treating the closed circuit water can be equally troubling for the system operator:-
1. Leakage in PHE and AHU due to corrosion
2. Plugging and clogging of tubes and reduced flow rate
3. REduced heat transfer
4. Need of regular descalling that incurs shutdowns, loss of labor and time
5. Fouling of brine of chiller water

Chemical tratment removes dissolved oxygen that cause oxidation of metal to metal oxide i.e., Iron + Oxygen = Iron Oxide (Rust)

The chemical also contains a specific inhibitor to protect copper from corrosion and removes/prevents any sort of scale formation in the system.

How to use CorroSOL 40 Nitrite Corrosion Inhibitor
CorroSOL 40 Nitrite Corrosion Inhibitor should be added to the system at an initial dosage rate of 7 litres / 1000 litres of system water content. This will passivate metal and should establish the required minimum Nitrite reserve of 1200mg/l. Whenever the system is drained or loses a significant quantity of water then the additional CorroSOL 40 Nitrite Corrosion Inhibitor should be added at the rate of 5 – 7 litres / 1000 litres.
 
The active inhibitor reserve can be measured using a simple nitrite closed system testkit.
