Borax finds many uses as a corrosion inhibitor in aqueous sytems as it can prevent oxidation of ferrous / Iron metals. Typical applications are in engine coolants, antifreezes and water treatments. Borax is highly soluble in MEG / ethylene glycol and can neutralise acids that are produced from the decomposition of the MEG prevention acidic corrosion of the metal surface.

TECHNICAL ETHYL CELLOSOLVE

Technical Ethyl Cellosolve is a clear, colorless, & odorless liquid with the chemical formula of C4H10O2 and molecular mass of 90.12 g/mol. Also known as 2-ethoxyethanol, it is formulated by the reaction of ethylene oxide with ethanol. This compound is known to have excellent cleaning properties making it suitable to be used in degreasing solutions and varnish removers. It can easily be dissolved in oils, resins, waxes, and nitrocellulose.
